Clean Smart Hand Cleanser Testing
Clean Smart Hand Cleanser
Clean Smart Hand Cleanser is a DIFFERENT hand sanitizer compared to the others that I have tested. It does not contain alcohol and boasts to contain no harmful chemicals. Its active ingredient is hypochlorous acid. I tested the Clean Smart Hand Cleanser on my kids dirty hands. These hands had actual dirt on them because the kids were playing outside. The kids rubbed one dirty hand onto an agar plate. Then I sprayed 10 sprays of the Clean Smart and rubbed it all over their other hand. I let it dry for 1 minute. Then they rubbed their hand onto another agar plate. The plates were incubated for 24 hours in my warm incubator.
As you can see, the Clean Smart does not appear to be strong enough to handle dirty hands. To be fair, most of the alcohol hand sanitizers like the Clorox hand sanitizer do not work well on dirty hands either. So, I repeated the experiment on very clean hands. For this experiment, the kids had been playing inside and their hands looked perfectly clean. I had them rub their right hands onto the plate. Then I put 10 sprays of Clean Smart on their left hands and rubbed it in. I let it dry for 1 minute and then they rubbed that hand onto another agar plate. The plates were incubated for 24 hours.
Well, I just can't recommend Clean Smart Hand Cleanser. It doesn't seem to be doing much bacteria killing in my experiments.
